Well we have been under a smoky haze for more than a month now from the interior forest fires. It makes me sad that I'm reporting on the local fishing scene when we still have thousands of BC residents still evacuated from their homes. If there are any displaced families that would like to get out on the water, call me for your very reduced rate. It looks like Chinook fishing has really picked up over the last few days as many of us guides are finding 20+ lb slabs near the Bell Buoy, North Arm, Sandheads and T-10. Hopefully this will continue as in the past years well into September. Coho and Pink salmon have been found along the West Vancouver waterfront from Point Atkinson to Ambleside. A wide variety of gear not limited to anchovy, glow hootchies in a variety of colors and spoons. Each day is a quest to figure out what they want, but then that's fishing. "Let's Go Fishing!"
